Richard B. Cheney is an American businessman, public servant, and politician. Cheney is a prominent figure in Washington politics, worked with four presidents of the United States. George W. Bush is the fourth. Bush nominated Cheney for his vice presidential running partner in July of the year 2000. Bush cited Cheney's wisdom as well as his judgment and expertise. Dick Cheney, who served in the United States as Secretary and Chief of Staff under a president and also during Congress is a tremendous servant to our nation. Republicans and Democrats all respect his honesty. Cheney declared that his position within the Bush administration will be that of an honest but quiet advisor. Cheney declared that when he accepted the Republican nomination for vice president, he looked forward to working alongside a President who works across political lines to reach his objectives and cooperate with opposition members in trust and respect. Richard Bruce Cheney is the father of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born January 30, 1941 in Lincoln Nebraska. Cheney was moved from Casper, Wyoming with his family when he was 13. The father of his was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, directed the soil conservation district located in Casper.
