April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4 April, 1995) began her musical journey as a 7th grader in which she began piano and guitar classes. April Lockhart penned her first song"Different" at 12 years old. She spent a lot of the time of 14 making songs and practicing music. Then she began to take excursions to write with her father, who lived in NY in New York and LA. April also included additional topics in her song"Take my Hand. These topics were for friends that dealt with issues such as peer pressure disabilities or even teen suicidal ideas. Lockhart has her own fan base and also works as a lifestyle blogger at the popular Ilia Clean Beauty brand. Her birthplace didn't come with a left-hand, which is why she's who she is. However, that's not the whole story. As a result Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't shy away from her disability, but the focus isn't on her disability neither. What message is it sending? The message? That we are all multifaceted, and that our physical and identity selves are not all that they seem. It's not my intention to let that be the only thing that defines me. I don't intend to become an influencer where that's all I discuss because there are many different things about me Lockhart speaks via video from her house in Nashville. It doesn't affect my life. Everything is normal and I have learned to make adjustments. Because it's part of who I am It's a topic worth talking about. Lockhart is a huge example to other women with regards to acceptance of oneself. She still admits having gone through phases in her life regarding her appearance, feeling insecure at times to wear clothing that displayed the arms of her. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she likes. She also posts her pictures to social networks. Self-love she said is a kind of journey. "I do not think that you'll ever get in that place," she said. This is, however, common for anyone who has insecurities. It's essential to have those that know and appreciate the way you feel. They'll be the ones who ask your: What are you think about?
