Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actress who was famous in the role of Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales & the short lived NBC show with similar name, Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Native to CalifornianSwanson developed an interest in acting as a child. Her career began working in the field of advertising, appearing in a variety of commercials. The first time she appeared on television was the NBCs It's Your Move sitcom show that aired in 1984. She debuted on the big screen two years laterin the 1986 romantic comedy Pretty in Pink. She is best known for the blonde hairlisp and breathless voice she has. Recently she has moved on to acting in secondary roles. Swan received her the Young Artist Award in 1990 for the best actor in the midst of a horror or mystery film for Flowers in the Attic.
